Practical first aid training

Preparing personnel to respond to medical emergencies and traumatic incidents

Global Protection Group provides practical first aid training for international corporations, public institutions, security teams and other organisations responsible for the safety of employees, clients and visitors.

Our programmes prepare participants to assess the situation, provide assistance safely, contact the emergency services effectively and take appropriate action until professional medical support arrives.

The scope and delivery format are adapted to the working environment, participant responsibilities, identified risks and the organisation’s existing emergency procedures.

Workplace first aid

Workplace first aid training is designed for personnel in corporate offices, public institutions, educational establishments, retail and hospitality environments, industrial facilities and other organisations.

Depending on the organisation’s requirements, the training may cover:

  • assessing scene safety and the condition of the casualty;
  • contacting the emergency services and communicating essential information;
  • cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED);
  • responding to unconsciousness and choking;
  • controlling severe bleeding;
  • responding to common medical emergencies and injuries;
  • monitoring and preparing the casualty for handover to emergency medical personnel.

Training focuses on practical skills and scenarios reflecting situations that may realistically occur in the participants’ working environment.

First aid in high-risk environments

Advanced programmes are available for security personnel, military and law-enforcement teams, medical personnel and individuals operating in environments where serious trauma, violence or incidents involving multiple casualties may occur.

Depending on the participant group and the required level of training, programmes may be delivered in accordance with TCCC or TECC methodology or may incorporate selected principles from these systems, adapted to the participants’ responsibilities, competence and operating environment.

The training may cover:

  • threat assessment and the safety of the person providing assistance;
  • control of life-threatening bleeding;
  • basic airway and breathing management;
  • initial care of a trauma casualty;
  • preparing a casualty for evacuation or handover to medical personnel;
  • providing assistance where access to emergency medical support may be delayed or restricted.

The training level and methodology are selected according to the participants’ existing skills, operational responsibilities and expected outcomes.

Practical, scenario-based delivery

Training combines focused theoretical instruction with practical exercises, the use of appropriate first aid equipment and realistic scenarios.

Particular emphasis is placed on personal safety, casualty assessment, decision-making under pressure and effective cooperation with the emergency services.

Core first aid content can be prepared with reference to current European Resuscitation Council guidance and adapted to the professional responsibilities of the participants.

Training tailored to your organisation

The programme may reflect the type of premises, nature of the organisation’s operations, number and roles of participants, available first aid equipment and existing emergency arrangements.

Where appropriate, the training can include scenarios based on incidents that may occur in a particular office, industrial facility, logistics operation, security environment or field deployment.

Courses can be delivered at the client’s premises or another agreed location in Poland or internationally.

Experienced instructors

Training is delivered by qualified instructors with professional experience in emergency response, pre-hospital care or operational environments appropriate to the agreed programme.

This combination of instructional and practical experience allows participants to develop skills that can be applied under pressure rather than limiting the course to theoretical knowledge.

The level of practical content, equipment used and complexity of the scenarios are agreed with the client and adapted to the experience of the participant group.
