Executive Protection and Close Protection Training

Global Protection Group prepares close protection personnel and Executive Protection teams to plan and deliver protective operations in corporate, institutional and high-risk environments.

Our programmes are intended for licensed security providers, Executive Protection and Close Protection teams, government protective services, armed forces and military police units responsible for protecting senior executives, private clients, official delegations and personnel operating internationally.

Training may also be delivered to appropriately authorised international security companies undertaking protective assignments for government clients, critical infrastructure operators or organisations active in unstable and high-risk environments.

Each programme is adapted to participant experience, operational responsibilities, the contracting organisation’s procedures, available equipment and anticipated operating environment.

Scope of Training

Depending on participant experience and the objectives of the contracting organisation, training may include:

  • threat, vulnerability and risk assessment;
  • protective planning and allocation of team responsibilities;
  • advance work and reconnaissance of venues, routes and locations;
  • protective arrangements during travel, meetings and events;
  • foot formations and close protection procedures;
  • embus and debus procedures and protective vehicle movements;
  • response to incidents, attacks and rapidly changing situations;
  • emergency extraction, evacuation and relocation of the protected person;
  • communication, command and team coordination.

Training combines theoretical preparation, individual and team exercises, and scenarios reflecting participants’ operational duties.

Training Areas

The scope is adapted to participants’ intended duties and the level of capability required by the contracting organisation.

Executive Protection and Close Protection

Programmes prepare participants to provide professional protection in corporate, private and institutional environments. Training may cover risk assessment, advance work, team organisation, protective movements, meetings, events and response to direct threats.

Protective Operations in High-Risk Environments

These programmes prepare teams to protect personnel in environments affected by armed conflict, terrorism, political instability or a deteriorating security situation.

Training may include route planning, protective transport, contingency arrangements, response to attack, extraction, evacuation and coordination with local authorities, security partners and supporting personnel.

Specialist Training Modules

The programme may be supplemented with selected modules covering:

  • firearms training for close protection personnel;
  • medical preparation for protective teams;
  • travel security and journey management;
  • recognition of explosive-threat indicators and appropriate response;
  • detection of and response to hostile surveillance;
  • incident response and crisis management.

The scope of specialist modules is determined by participant qualifications, operational responsibilities and applicable legal requirements.

Training Tailored to the Organisation

The scope, level and methodology are adapted to participant experience, the operating environment, the contracting organisation’s standard operating procedures and the equipment used by the protective team.

Modules may be delivered independently or combined into an integrated programme preparing participants for defined protective duties.

Training requiring specific qualifications, authorisations, weapons or specialist equipment is delivered exclusively to appropriately qualified and authorised participants.

Training for a Protective Team or Organisation

Every programme is prepared individually. An initial consultation establishes the participant profile, operational responsibilities, intended operating environment and required level of competence.

Based on this information, Global Protection Group prepares a programme tailored to the relevant security company, protective team, government service, military police unit or armed forces personnel performing protective duties.
